7 FACTS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ESSENTIAL OILS

1. There is no such official term as “therapeutic grade” essential oils. There are no grades of oils in aromatherapy. All essential oils or absolutes are distilled/extracted in the exactly the same way and are naturally therapeutic. Who sells “therapeutic grade” oils? Charlatans or the misled, that's who, someone with very little knowledge of essential oils and/or companies using a marketing term to falsely state that their oils are superior. ALL ESSENTIAL OILS ARE THERAPEUTIC. PEGS IN YOUR FACE CREAM

MELANIE JANE'S SIXTY SECOND TIP PEG's... NO not those pegs but Polyethylene Glycols are deemed safe in cosmetics mostly because the molecules cannot penetrate the skin BUT and this is a BIG BUT... If like me you use a face moisturiser in combination with a facial oil that contains essential oils there is a chance the PEG's will PIGGY BACK onto the essential oil molecules and enter your bloodstream, and that's not good. Always look at the ingredients in your face cream and if they contain PEG's like one of my favourite 'Olay' creams does, avoid it, if you use it in combination with a facial oil. BRIGHTENING FACE SCRUB FOR PENNIES

LEMON AND SODA SCRUB! Don't waste your money on expensive face scrubs when you have all you need in your kitchen for less than a penny! I love this simple recipe so I will share it It's great for any skin type (except extra sensitive) especially oily or congested skin and your face will feel revitalised afterwards. •1 tbsp baking soda (bicarbonate of soda) •1 tsp lemon juice (from a fresh lemon only) Mix together until it stops fizzing Apply the paste to your skin and use it like an exfoliator to scrub away dead skin cells for 30 secs (avoid the eye area) then rinse and voila!!
