EAT YOURSELF BETTER

Certain foods really are healing foods and contain powerful medicinal properties. Below are just a few examples.

  • Sweet potatoes are a great source of several anti-inflammatory compounds.

  • Turmeric has been used in herbal practices for centuries as an anti-inflammatory. In clinical trials it has been shown to be comparable with some powerful anti-inflammatory drugs,

  • Ginger contains gingerols, which are also anti-inflammatories.

  • For Arthritis: pineapple, celery, chilli, garlic, ginger, shiitake mushroom, sweet potato, turmeric, walnuts.

  • Heart disease: apples, celery, chilli, garlic, ginger, onions, chickpeas, kidney beans and all other pulses.

  • Skin conditions: onions, artichokes, butternut squash, celery, avocado, sweet potatoes, leafy green vegetables.

  • Immune system: chilli, garlic, ginger, goji berries, manuka honey, pumpkin seeds, shiitake mushrooms, blueberries, mango.

  • Nervous system: Bananas, onions, potatoes, green vegetables, wholegrains, strawberries.
